(KNSI) – After setting temperature records on Tuesday, another record was set Wednesday.

The National Weather Service says the St. Cloud area set an official record for precipitation on March 10th. With the system that moved through, .72″ of rain and snow fell. The old record was .42″ set in 1904. Other areas around central Minnesota may have recorded more or less than that.

In the Twin Cities, the official record is at Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport, which recorded .69″ of precip. The old record was .59″ set in 1878. Minneapolis broke a high temperature record on Tuesday that was also set in 1878.
