(KNSI) – Entrepreneurs, start your engines!

It’s time to once again see the light turn green on the Fastlane 94 Trailblazer Challenge. Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation Business Development Director Leslie Dingmann says the third annual competition needs applications turned in by Monday, March 25th.

ILT Studios in downtown St. Cloud, plus economic development agencies in Fergus Falls, Fargo, and Moorhead, help run the challenge. Judges will whittle down the entries to five finalists.

They will give in-person presentations on their ideas next month. Dingmann is hoping for a great public turnout to add some atmosphere to what is already a fun time. “Come out on April 11. It’s an exciting night. It’s exciting to see these five finalists pitch their idea, and the last two years each of the five have had really diverse, great ideas. We are hoping the community shows up big time this year.”

The pitches will take place at ILT Studios at 113 5th Ave S. A link to register is here.

Winning the competition comes with a major perk. It grants you entry into one of the most well-respected pitch competitions in the region. Dingmann says, “The Minnesota Cup is through the Carlson School of Management at the U of M. Once you receive that semi-finalist title, you, over the summer, will receive additional mentoring, education, resources, [and] help getting your pitch presentation ready.”

They also receive $5,000 to help turn their idea into a reality. The Fastlane 94 Trailblazer Challenge is open to startups and new businesses less than a year old.
