SWAT Team Called In As a Precaution To Serve Search Warrant in St. Cloud

(KNSI) – A large police presence in southeast St. Cloud Wednesday was related to serving a search warrant.

The police department says in a press release that they executed the warrant about 3:15 p.m. in the 1200 block of Killian Boulevard for an investigation into violations of a domestic abuse no-contact restraining order. A 33-year-old man was arrested. No one was injured while on scene.

Officials say the man has a history with police. They decided to err on the side of caution and use St. Cloud SWAT to serve the warrant. That led to a noticeable police presence in the area for a short time.
