(KNSI) — Mother Nature isn’t expected to cooperate anytime soon, but that isn’t stopping Stearns County or the Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota.

The groups said Monday that they’ll allow hikers to complete the ski sampler this year. It runs until February 15th and encourages people to get out and enjoy the county’s four parks. The sampler includes Kraemer Lake-Wildwood in St. Joseph, Mississippi River County Park in Rice, Quarry Park in Waite Park, and Warner Lake in Clearwater.

For every park you hike, you can register for a prize drawing. If you visit all four, you get a bonus entry, and if you join the Nordic ski club, that is a sixth potential ticket.

Winners will be drawn on February 20th. Entrants have a shot at a Quarry Park annual parking permit, gift cards to Fitzharris Ski and Sport and Revolution Cycle and Ski, or Wildwood Ranch syrup.

The sampler is open to all ages.
