(KNSI) — Tami Calhoun has announced she will again run for House District 14A.

Calhoun is a former teacher who first sought the seat in 2022 when it was vacated by Tama Theis. She lost to Representative Bernie Perryman by under 200 votes.

Her campaign announcement says she will be a state representative who brings people together.

“There is so much more that unites us than divides us as a community, so my focus as a state representative will be to bring people together,” said Calhoun. “I’m excited to hit the campaign trail and have conversations with Minnesotans about their hopes and dreams, as well as the challenges they are facing in their everyday lives. There is no limit to what we can accomplish when we work together as neighbors and as members of the same community.”

Calhoun is seeking the DFL endorsement to represent the St. Cloud, Waite Park, St. Augusta, and St. Joseph areas.
