(KNSI) – St. Cloud area representative Dan Wolgamott is hoping to find solutions to the region’s real estate woes.
He will host a town hall on Tuesday, December 5th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Great River Regional Library, inside the Mississippi Room. Also attending are Housing Committee Chair Michael Howard, St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis, and Filsan Talent Partners’ Hudda Ibrahim.
It’s free to attend. Wolgamott says, “Minnesota is facing a housing crisis. Young families are struggling to afford a starter home. Seniors are struggling to keep up with the rising costs of property taxes. Too many people are living on the streets and in encampments.”
He says lawmakers are trying to help, and he will go through the bills passed during the last session. “We’ve done an incredible amount of work at the legislature to address the issues we face in this area – including passing a historic $1 billion Housing Budget – but there’s more work to be done.”
Wolgamott says the town hall will focus on the next steps to tackle the crisis.
