(KNSI) – No one was injured in an early morning house fire thanks to the quick action of Stearns County deputies.

First responders were called to the home in St. Joseph Township at 3:17 a.m. on Tuesday for a house fully engulfed in flames.

Authorities evacuated nearby homes in case the fire spread. Deputies say the 31-year-old homeowner wasn’t there at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Minnesota State Fire Marshal and the sheriff’s office.

The St. Augusta, Cold Spring, St. Joseph, Rockville, and Waite Park Fire Departments responded to the scene.
