(KNSI) – Richmond is gettin’ down on the farm for the annual River Lake Days festival.

The good ol’ fashioned hoedown will be held at the River Lakes Civic Arena Grounds. The fun starts with city-wide garage sales Thursday. The medallion hunt gets underway Friday morning, followed by the opening of the food stands.

A car show runs from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with awards handed out on the main stage afterward. Other Friday entertainment highlights include bingo, donkey baseball, a farm-themed music and comedy concert at 6:30, and the band Drunk Uncle starting at 8:30.

Saturday is even busier. A 10k and 5k run kicks things off at 8:00 a.m. The petting zoo will be set up at 9:00. The kiddie parade marches through the grounds starting at 10:00 a.m. An hour later, it’s the tractor pull.

In the afternoon, turtle races and a mechanical bull complement concerts on the main stage. The grand parade steps off at 7:00 p.m., heading down Main Street and over to the grounds along 1st Street South. Music starts back up at 8:30 with the band Stone Road.
