(KNSI) – It’s vacation for everyone but the contractors in the Sauk Rapids-Rice School District.

Improvements are planned at three primary schools. The boiler and flooring are being replaced at Rice Elementary. The Mississippi Heights cafeteria is getting a new air conditioning unit. Pleasantview Elementary is adding a maintenance garage. KIDSTOP summer school programming through the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota will still be offered at Mississippi Heights, even with the work there.

Construction on the middle school and high school is limiting access to both buildings. Workers will be renovating the multipurpose and choir rooms at the middle school, rebricking the exterior around door five, and fixing the roof over the grade six wing. Visitors should use door four.

The small parking lot at the high school is being repaved leaving only door seven open on the west side of the building. More info is here.
