(KNSI) – The Sauk Rapids City Council will discuss approval of a developer’s agreement for the Windsor Estates 2 neighborhood at Monday’s meeting.

Plans call for a 24-house neighborhood with lots circled around a pair of cul-de-sacs. One will be a dead end on 11th Avenue Northeast. The other will bend 29th Street Northeast to the south so the second cul-de-sac sits just to the east of the first one.

The developer is expected to pay for all of the costs of the project for the single-family neighborhood with the exception of some deep sanitary sewer pipes. New streets, sidewalks and trails, storm sewer, water, and sewer infrastructure will all be transferred to the city when the builder is done.

A required public hearing is scheduled to renew liquor licenses for several entities. Staff says investigations were conducted at Danny’s Dugout, Jimmy’s Pour House, Benton Station, the Sauk Rapids VFW, Coborn’s Incorporated, El Loro Mexican Food and Brewery, Kwik Trip, and Sauk Rapids Softball. All were found to be current on their property taxes.

El Loro and Sauk Rapids Liquor failed their compliance checks, which are organized by the police department. It is the second offense for El Loro, resulting in a $750 fine. The city’s legal department is drafting a response for Sauk Rapids Liquor, as this was its third failure since 2016.

Other items on the agenda include an update on the Rock the Riverfront concert series which began last week. It runs every Thursday until early September. The shows feature an opening act and a headliner.

In the consent agenda, the city will officially accept a donation to the police K9 program that will be used to purchase a new kennel.
