John Deyak Memorial Tournament (Dick Putz Field)

Elk River 6, St. Cloud Crush 0: The Elks took advantage of an error and a pitching change in the top of the seventh to tack on five runs and blow open what had been a tight ballgame up until that point. The Crush had the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the third thanks to two walks and an error. A pop fly to right and a routine fly ball to center ended the threat. The Crush got their only two hits of the game in the sixth putting runners at first and third with one out. Elian Mezquita was caught trying to steal second and a strikeout nullified the opportunity.

Champlin Park 2, ROCORI 1: Beck Loesch threw a complete game for the Spartans, but he comes away with the tough luck loss. Loesch also had a hit in the game. Brady Schafer recorded the lone RBI for ROCORI.

John Deyak Memorial Tournament (Dick Putz Field)

Minneapolis Southwest 4, St. Cloud Crush 0: The game was moved up to 12:30 p.m. due to weather concerns. The scheduled contest against Duluth East was canceled. The Crush were shut out across two games for the tournament.

Sartell 6, Champlin Park 3: Sartell starter Tyler Hemmesch struck out 13 in six innings, giving up only two earned runs. Wesley Johnson was 2-3 with two RBIs.

Mahtomedi 7, ROCORI 1: The Zephyrs jumped out to a commanding lead early. Mahtomedi pushed across six runs in the second and another in the third. ROCORI’s Blake Tylutki had the team’s only RBI.
