(KNSI) – The City of Sartell says several commercial businesses are in the process of building or expanding their presence in the community, including brand names like Chipotle, Dollar General, and Starbucks.
The projects are in every stage of completion at this point. Dollar General has submitted plans but has not begun to build on a lot near O’Reilly Auto Parts on Riverside Avenue South. Chipotle opened in December, as did T-Mobile. Starbucks’ newest location still has to pass state inspection.
Some of the developments are larger than a café or restaurant. Solutions Behavioral Healthcare is expected to finish a 12,000-square-foot facility this year. Prominent local businesses are also included, like Scooter’s Coffee and K Power Yoga.
Sartell administration says that is just the tip of the iceberg. The former paper mill site will soon be closed on by a developer. It was expected on November 30th, 2022, but now should occur in the first half of this month.
Sartell says Stearns has committed to turning County Road 133 into a through road. There are still several options on the table that will be examined further.
