Girls

8AAA Section Final

St. Michael-Albertville 2, Sartell 0: The Sabres are handed their first loss of the season. They’ll finish with a record of 16-1-1.

8A Section Final

Cathedral 3, Hillcrest Lutheran 0: Hope Schueller scored for the Crusaders. Kiera Green added a goal and an assist. Keeper Amelia Newiger recorded the shutout.

Boys

8AA Section Semifinals

Apollo 5, ROCORI 2

Tech 2, Alex 1: The game went to penalty kicks with St. Cloud Tech winning 7-6. Tech was the three seed in the section but the teams were evenly matched. In the regular season they tied 1-1 at Tech and Alex picked up a 1-0 win at home. The competitive nature of their series carried over into Tuesday night.

Tech and Apollo play for the 8AA Championship at Husky Stadium on the campus of St. Cloud State University Thursday night. Kick off is at 7:30.

8A Section Finals

Cathedral 2, Fergus Falls 0: Joseph Torborg and Jack Stang continue to light up the stat sheet for Cathedral. Both were assisted by Jacob Oliver. Keeper Noah Henderson made seven saves for the shutout.

High School Volleyball

ROCORI 3, St. Cloud Tech 0 (25-10, 25-18, 25-11): The visiting Tigers were dealing with injuries and a shuffled lineup and did not have an answer for the dominating front row play of the Spartans. ROCORI outside hitter Kate Holthaus led all scorers with nearly 20 kills. Jenna Rausch and Jenna Bose combined for ten more. The Tigers were paced by freshman Miracle Jensen who had nine kills and five aces, almost all of her scoring coming in the second set.

Sauk Rapids-Rice 3, Fergus Falls 0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-14): Lexi Helmin delivered 13 kills and eight blocks for the Storm. Ava Athman and Lauren Schloe each had four blocks to pressure the Otters. Athman led the team in digs (12) and Jordyn Lee added 10.

Detroit Lakes 3, Apollo 0 (22-25, 14-25, 15-25)

Cathedral 3, Albany 0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-18): The Crusaders finish their Granite Ridge conference schedule undefeated. Olivia Prom and Cammy Sand both had 12 set assists. They fed Kayla Sexton (12 kills), Brielle Rothstein (5), and Ellie Voth (4). Cathedral improves to 17-8 overall.

Foley 3, Milaca 2 (25-23, 14-25, 21-25, 25-19, 17-15)
