(KNSI) — The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after two house fires over the weekend.
The first happened in Cedar Mills Township just before 5:45 Saturday afternoon. Investigators believe electrical wires caused the fire, which was sparked in the attic. The 94-year-old homeowner was not hurt. The house is considered a total loss.
The second fire happened at 2:40 Sunday morning in Dassel. The house sustained extensive damage, but no injuries were reported. The cause of that fire is still under investigation.
