(KNSI) – The guardian of central Minnesota’s stories and culture is inviting the public to come celebrate its 90th birthday.

The Stearns County Historical Society was born on March 27th, 1936. Since its founding, the organization has worked tirelessly to preserve and share the community’s history.

Everyone is welcome to join the party at the Stearns History Museum on Friday, March 27th, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. for coffee and cake, as well as a temporary display of some of the museum’s original collections and objects.

No registration is required, and the event is free.
