(KNSI) – A 67-year-old St. Cloud woman was somehow uninjured after a crash following a medical event Thursday night in St. Joseph.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says officers from the St. Joseph Police Department were called to the scene on County Road 2 near Interstate 94 at around 6:00. They say the driver, Bette Jo Olson, was driving north on County Road 2 when she suffered an unspecified medical event.
She told investigators that she remembers leaving the road and going into the ditch. She said she tried to steer away from a power pole, but a press release from Stearns County says her Toyota RAV4 hit the pole, shearing it off.
Stearns Electric Association arrived and removed the pole from her SUV.
