MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KNSI) Prosecutors have charged an 18-year-old with killing a man whose body was found in a burning Minneapolis house last week.
Jamil Eason of Minneapolis was charged Friday with second-degree murder.
Eason is accused of killing 45-year-old Jay Rosio. Firefighters responded to a house fire in north Minneapolis on Nov. 2 and found Rosio dead face-down on the floor.
He didn't appear to have any burns, but crews noticed he had a stab wound near his heart. A knife also was recovered.
The Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/UerDin) reports the medical examiner determined Rosio suffered stab wounds and cuts, but found no smoke in his lungs.
The Hennepin County attorney's office says a cellphone and a computer taken from the house led to Eason's arrest.
Eason is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
