Roofer lands in jail

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A man who was working on the Stearns County Jail Monday ended up in the jail.

Sheriff John Sanner says deputies arrested 43 year-old Warren Smith of St. Cloud after he got into a fight on the roof the jail.

Smith was working for a temporary employment agency, and was helping with a re-roofing project. Sanner says he got into a fight with another man and struck him in the face with a rake.

The 23 year-old male victim had a three to four inch cut on his forehead.

Smith was booked into jail on charges of second-degree assault.
