Man arrested for knife threats

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A St. Cloud man has been arrested for threatening people with a knife.

Officers were dispatched to the 500-block of Third Street South in reference to a man chasing people with a knife. Officers arrived to find 32 year-old Sulemanu Balami still in possession of the knife. He was arrested on two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of terroristic threats, damage to property, disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process.

The victims--an 18 year-old St. Cloud woman and a 19 year-old St. Cloud man--were not injured.

Balami was taken to the Stearns County Jail where he is being held until he makes his first court appearance.
