Man arrested for domestic assault

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) St. Cloud police arrested a man over the weekend on assault charges.

Officers were called just after midnight Saturday morning to 1306 Mulberry Road on a report of a domestic assault with weapons possibly being involved.

When officers arrived, they found 43 year-old Jeffrey Evans in the residence and a 43 year-old woman hiding in the home.

Officers say Evans had physically assaulted the woman and made threats toward her with a handgun, which was located in the home.

Evans was taken to the Stearns County Jail where he faces charges of Second-Degree Assault and Domestic Assault.
