ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A Walker man charged in a deadly shooting in Rockville has been indicted on charges of first-degree murder.
The indictment against 28 year-old Marcus Barshaw was handed down by a Stearns County grand jury Friday. He had previously been charged with second-degree murder.
Barshaw is accused of shooting 30 year-old Jeffrey Schutz six times in an alley behind Schutz's home during the early morning hours of October 21st.
Barshaw fled to a nearby apartment building where he was later shot three times by a Stearns County deputy after refusing commands to drop weapons he was carrying. He was hospitalized for several days before being released from the hospital.
