WORTHINGTON, Minn. (KNSI) It's not unusual this time of year to hear about vehicles colliding with deer on Minnesota highways.
But it's not all that often that a deer literally flies through the windshield of the vehicle after being struck.
That's what happened on Highway 60 east of Worthington in Nobles County.
The State Patrol says 35 year-old Samitra Schuster of Sioux Falls was westbound when she struck a deer and it went through the windshield of her car. She and a 12 year-old passenger were taken to a local hospital where they were treated and released.
